Alimentary

Pertaining to food or the digestive tract. In Pavlov's lectures, the term alimentary reflex is often used to describe the strong unconditioned responses involved in the attainment and consumption of food. Many alimentary behaviors are inherent behaviors that are associated in the organism with food from birth.

"Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other."
     -Ronald Reagan
