Netlab is a
neural network development environment, first released to dial-up BBS forums (non-Internet) in 1989-1990.
The Netlab development environment aims to provide a construction and design environment, which allows for an erector-set, or electronic circuit assembly metaphor to be employed when developing neural networks.
A new version of Netlab has been developed (version 0.3a), which is described in a book titled Netlab
