OI_E

Output Influenced from Excitatory-inputs (OI_E) - This is a neuron level value that reflects the amount of influence the output of this neuron has had over the output levels of neurons to which it connects. It is the IEI for the neuron, further gated by the axon level (AL) at the outputs of the influenced (post-synaptic) neurons. In floating point representation, it is the sum of the IEI * the AL of each post-synaptic neuron this neuron contacts.

OI_E is a Netlab™ term with no direct analog in the study of biological neural networks. It is based on a new learning method, which is referred to in Netlab as Influence Learning.
