Netlab

Netlab is a neural network development environment, first released to dial-up BBS forums (non-Internet) in 1989-1990.

The Netlab development environment aims to provide a construction and design environment, which allows for an erector-set, or electronic circuit assembly metaphor to be employed when developing neural networks.

A new version of Netlab has been developed (version 0.3a), which is described in a book titled Netlab Loligo. Here is a link to the product overview page for the book:

Netlab Loligo - New Approaches to Neural Network Simulation If you have an interest in machine hosted neural network simulations and have been looking for alternatives to the usual formulaic approaches, this book may be just what you've been looking for.

Check out the book excerpts pages for a little more information.
