Adaptive Feedback

In Netlab™ — Feedback connections consisting of adaptive signals to the adaptive inputs of pre-synaptic neurons. Adaptive feedback is feedback that is connected to the adaptive inputs of pre-synaptic neurons. These inputs effect changes to the connection strengths (traditionally weight values) of the neuron's synapses.

Implicit Forms

Adaptive feedback may be incorporated into influence calculations. In this case a neuron's error value is used as a factor when producing influence learning values that are propagated to pre-synaptic neurons. Adaptive feedback may also be produced as chemical influences (CIs) which are used by other neurons to effect, or affect, changes to weight values.
